I’m lucky enough to experience the beauty of the Hebridean wilderness at all times of the year. There are a lot of times when the ‘perfect moment’ never comes. But, tonight things are different. I find so much pleasure in evenings like this one, just knowing that there are places in the world like this still to wonder at, which are not for sale, not somebody else’s or mine. Simple, fleeting experiences like this are quite literally priceless, they reward us for keeping our eyes and minds open, and for conserving the wild spaces within our own worlds.
