Story
Circle of Power
Some places are special for their power, beauty, story, or history. Callanish has all four—and its presence will never leave me.
Rising before dawn, I stood in that invisible space between the long past and the unknown future, watching the midsummer sun slowly lift through the low-lying mist. Through a favourite panoramic lens, I tried to capture the aura of mystery—the stones standing in silent witness, marking millennia in the span of minutes. For them, this morning was but a fraction of a moment. For me, it became a timeless memory, caught in the quiet press of a shutter.
No one truly knows why this great stone circle was built. Legends and folklore cling to it like the mist itself. Whatever the truth—one or many—the ancient spirit of Callanish touches something deep and enduring.
