Story
Down the Dale
This morning, Rydalmere shimmered with a thousand colours, a breathtaking autumn display from my vantage point on Loughrigg Fell.
This scene could only be the Lake District—the native home of the Herdwick sheep I’ve come to know so well. How lucky I was to find them here, perfectly placed in the frame. Sun and showers moved across the valley, and just as the light broke through, a rainbow arched from the darkened sky above, casting its glow along the shoreline.
One of those rare moments where everything aligns—weather, light, landscape, and sheep—creating a scene that lives and breathes only in Lakeland. A fleeting gift from nature, rich with colour and life.
