Ian Lawson presents three beautifully imagined XL Art Books. All the way through the photographer's journey, from dreams and desires to realisation. Blending documentary and landscape genres, Ian's work weaves together evocative picture stories from the Outer Hebrides, the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales.
Story
In the shadow of the Clisham mountain range, a deep bay gives sanctuary from wild winter seas for small, colourful fishing boats, fresh from pulling pots filled with lobster, langoustine and crab. The ruin of an old whaling station, long demised save for a proud, lone chimney reminds us of another, beastlier catch from days gone by.
